The Tavern
A pokme male as Thoikna blithely lives
For hearty, tasty food and joyous things;
At night, a special pub his funds he gives -
To savor tasty treats his tavern brings.
In Shaentham's very famous, friendly pub –
With smiling staff and charming, warm décor –
Sin Vernna's where he orders tasty grub;
His bearish thirst is quenched by drinks they pour.
On one such night, while sitting in his chair,
The Kramna slanme there he spots - a man
Whose bitter mood congests the tavern air,
Along with food he’s apt to crossly scan.
A foil to Kramna paltry, lacking meal,
The blithesome Thoikna eats a wide array
Of plates – both plants and meat with great appeal;
The deerish Kramna's hate’s a sad display.
Although the tavern staff enjoy the flair
Of bearish mirth, the deerish Kramna’s cross.
Towards his portions, Kramna hotly glares,
“This meal is far too strong with heavy sauce.”
Towards the burly, blithesome bearish guy
He says, “Unlike some guests, I do not eat
My food without restraint, or great supply
To gorge upon while slouching in my seat.”
With goatish looks and savvy kitchen flair
A hurried fonme finds his shrieking guest.
The chef named Stam replies, “I cook with care,
So I will bring you food without such zest.”
“Your other guests seem far too eager for
The largest meals” young Kramna then replies.
“I’m here to eat a meal that’s clean and more
Then huge assaults of tastes these plates comprise.”
While bitter, angry deerish Kramna sneers
At joyous Thoikna there, the fonme cook
Transports a dish prepared by cooking peers
Upon the table with a cheeky look.
“It’s free for you” the chef intones to him.
“I hope you do enjoy your newest meal.”
The deer detects a plate of food quite slim
In size with meager herbs and cooking zeal.
“The food was great” large Thoikna then proclaims.
“I’m ready for a sweet and rich dessert.”
Beside a pleasant gaze the cooker aims
A plate of treats that’s full and quite overt.
Without a comment, Kramna’s wont to eat
His dish, and finds it’s perfect for his taste;
He eats his food and finds it’s very sweet
And spiced; He loves his food with hungry haste.
The blissful bear is full from what he ate.
He rubs his paunch with calm, relaxing sighs;
Approaching with a widened, swaying gait,
He shows the somber gent his smirking eyes.
As Thoikna pays and thank the joyful staff
With grins and payment - coin and ample praise,
And hears a rumbling gut that makes him laugh
As Kram averts his anxious, flustered gaze.
“Although we patrons love our morsels big,
We love the flavor you’re still craving now”
The joyful Thoikna makes a cheerful dig.
“You merely ate a fancy, children’s chow.”
With muffled laughs, the cozy tavern clears;
Inside Sin Vernna sits the deerish man alone.
As Stamna watches Kramna lowered ears,
He gives a bag of food he can’t bemoan.
“Here’s something sweet and rich to take tonight”
The gentle cook intones upon the hour.
“Perhaps a joyful, rich and sweet delight
Brings more than bitter words so mad and sour?”
